Posters for Hope was an event created by a fellow classmate in the fall of 2018 as thesis project for a capstone course. The event focused on posters that were created by students that were made available for purchase - all proceeds were donated to Crisis Text Line. The event poster was meant to evoke a sense of being uplifted and saved.
This piece was inspired by the modernization of iconography associated with religious relics. The image depicts a male angel clothed in traditional robes with gilded wings. A large halo is positioned behind the angel's head and his gaze is fixed upon the viewer, inspiring a feeling of strength.
